Prenatal yoga is tailored to the 2 or 3 trimester of the woman’s pregnancy. This practice helps mothers- to be develop the mental and physical strengths in preparation for birth giving. This class focuses on improving general fitness safely. It involves deep toning of the birth muscles, improving posture & balance (to prevent/ease back pain) and promoting relaxation and calmness through awareness and control of breath.
Postnatal yoga is designed for new mums focusing on regaining strength and fitness after the birth. It focuses on toning back the abdomen and pelvic floor muscles, strengthening and releasing shoulders and legs and creating stability in the body. It involves breastfeeding counter poses and deep postnatal restorative postures to help woman regain their energy levels after labor.
